Socially Awkward

Social media is, by design, socially awkward.

I mean, Zuckerberg fucking bent ‘social awkwardness’ over, had the world take a selfie, then put a ring on it.

But, I have to admit, I enjoy an awkward silence.

Though, I am rarely awkward. Or, silent.

You are.

But, I enjoy your social awkwardness. I can see it from across a room, I can befriend it with a wink, and I can keep it safe from ridicule. I am not alone.

You are.

An awkward silence does not speak with stability. It stutters like the devil on a tinder date with the Dali Llama. I am not at a loss for words.

You are.

…truth is.

I am.

Everything.

You are.

Ironically, ridicule and acceptance, are both, by design, socially awkward.
